ManyLaws at ICEGOV 2020

The 13th edition of the International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance (ICEGOV) will take place, online, on 22-25 September 2020. The ManyLaws project supports this 13th edition of the ICEGOV conference, which is sponsored by a number of ManyLaws’ project partners. The ICEGOV conference is jointly organized by the University of the Aegean, the Harokopio University of Athens and the United Nations University (UNU-EGOV).

Under the overarching theme of ‘Digital Governance in the Era of Disruptive Technologies and Globalization’, ICEGOV 2020 will feature paper presentations, workshops, keynote lectures and plenary sessions with the participation of policymakers, researchers and industry representatives from across the globe.

ManyLaws workshop on enhancing the delivery of user-centric legal informatics services

On 22 September, 10:00-13:00, the ManyLaws project will organize an interactive online workshop to present and demonstrate the next generation legal informatics, information retrieval and search platform of ManyLaws. Taking full advantage of the possibilities available with an online service provisioning, participants will be invited to interact with the platform and provide valuable feedback, as well as share knowledge and best practices during the workshop’s Q&A and group activities.

Three ManyLaws papers to be presented

Three papers produced within the framework of the ManyLaws project will be presented during Paper Session 10 at this year’s ICEGOV. The Session focuses on the application of informatics within the context of the legal environment and takes place on 24 September, 12:00-14:00. The three papers are:

Lampoltshammer, Lőrinc Thurnay, Shefali Virkar, Guenther Schefbeck, Nektarios Kyriakou, Zoi Lachana, Charalampos Alexopoulos and Yannis Charalabidis
  • Legal Informatics from the Aspect of Interoperability: A Review of Systems Tools and Ontologies by Michalis Avgerinos Loutsaris and Yannis Charalabidis

ManyLaws virtual exhibition

On the pre-conference day (13:00-14:00) as well as during the lunch and coffee breaks on the three conference days (11:30-12:00, 14:00-15:00, 17:00-17:30), a virtual exhibition space for ManyLaws will be organized.
