The creation of user personas will guide the ManyLaws website’s features, content and communication strategy.
There are five main user personas:
Citizen
User story:
- Citizen who wants to move to Austria or Greece.
- Citizen researching the Greek and Austrian laws.
Primary goals:
- Identify and compare similar legal frameworks in multiple member states.
- Compare and visualise connections, correlations and conflicts between different laws.
Lawyer
User story:
- Lawyer researching Greek, Austrian and European laws for professional purposes.
Primary goals:
- Search parallel legal frameworks in multiple member states.
- Monitor the degree and status of transpositions.
- Perform comparative analysis of equivalent, relevant, connected laws from the same or different member states.
- Visualise the evolution over time for specific legislations.
- Explore correlations, dependencies, conflicts using complementary criteria to support the decision-making process within legal procedures.
Business Person
User story:
- Business person who is interested in doing business in Austria or Greece
Primary goals:

Legal Administrator
User story:
- Legal Administrator providing legal advice or reporting.
Primary goals:
- Perform comparative analysis of equivalent or relevant laws from different EU member states.
- Monitor the status of transpositions.
- Analyse references to the European Legislation by National Laws.
Parliamentary Administrator
User story:
- Interested in the law making procedure (e.g. constitutionality of a bill, interrelatedness of a bill with other legislation).
Primary goals:
- Search many member-state legal frameworks.
- Monitor degree and status of transpositions.
- Perform comparative analysis of equivalent, connected, interrelated or relevant laws from multiple member states.
- Utilise targeted visualisations that will assist in Decision Support services within legal procedures.
